Victoria Beckham Shuts Down Spice Girls Reunion Rumors After Son's Post
Victoria Beckham confirmed there will be no new Spice Girls music after her son Cruz shared a photo of her recording vocals, ending fan speculation.

Speculation regarding a potential Spice Girls revival was abruptly halted by Victoria Beckham, who stated definitively that the group would not reunite for new recordings. This declaration followed social media activity by her son, Cruz, which had briefly ignited hopes among fans for a comeback.
The studio session and family dynamics
Cruz, a 21-year-old musician, posted an image last month depicting his mother in a recording booth. The accompanying caption read, “yeah we got posh back in the studio ;),” prompting immediate excitement and renewed calls for the original lineup to perform together again.
During an interview on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle, the fashion designer clarified the context of the photograph. She explained that Cruz requested her assistance with backing vocals, a request she found impossible to decline. “I mean, I just can’t say no to Cruz. I just can’t say no,” she told hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones.
Beckham characterized the event as a casual moment between a mother and her son rather than a professional milestone. She admitted participating purely for enjoyment but expressed skepticism that the track would ever be released publicly.
Fan reactions versus reality
Social media users interpreted the studio visit as a precursor to a larger project. One commenter labeled Cruz the “only hope” for getting his mother back on tour with the Spice Girls. Another urged him to persuade Victoria to join a reunion, while a third speculated she might refuse global offers but comply for her child.
However, Beckham dispelled these notions during the broadcast. “There’s no new music. There’s no more Spice Girls,” she asserted. She noted that she has “passed that baton over to Cruz,” expressing pride in his current trajectory.
According to Beckham, Cruz’s recent touring activities in the United States and London signaled that his time had arrived. She described the studio appearance as “just a little bit of fun between me and him, nothing more.” Despite ruling out a reunion, she offered a playful remark about her vocal abilities: “I’ve still got it!”
The Spice Girls’ most recent gathering occurred in 2019, a tour from which Beckham abstained. Her latest statements provide no indication of imminent changes to this stance, suggesting she remains focused on supporting Cruz’s independent musical career.
