Following a widely publicized cheating scandal involving her then-boyfriend Tom Sandoval, Ariana transitioned from her previous role as a bartender at SUR to hosting Love Island USA Season 6, succeeding Sarah Hyland. This shift came shortly after the scandal, which also contributed to an Emmy nomination for Vanderpump Rules.

Since Ariana assumed hosting duties, Love Island USA has grown into a cultural phenomenon, attracting considerable attention from the Television Academy.

Competition in Outstanding Host Category

In the Outstanding Host category, Ariana faces competition from Kristen Kish for Top Chef, Jeff Probst for Survivor, RuPaul for RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Alan Cumming for The Traitors. Alan Cumming has won the award for the past two years, ending RuPaul’s eight-year winning streak.
