The Bride!, featuring Christian Bale, has unexpectedly risen to the top position on the ‘HBO Max Top 10 Movies in the United States’ chart shortly after its streaming debut. Data from FlixPatrol on May 25, 2026, confirms the film’s rapid ascent on the platform.

The gothic romance, directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, also ranks third on the HBO Max Overall chart from Amazon Channels. The film stars Jessie Buckley in a dual role alongside Christian Bale, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Penelope Cruz. Maggie Gyllenhaal wrote the screenplay, drawing inspiration from the 1935 Bride of Frankenstein. Warner Bros. Pictures released the film theatrically on March 6, 2026.

After its theatrical release, The Bride! became available for digital streaming on April 7, 2026, followed by physical releases on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 19. Despite its streaming success, the movie faced a challenging box office run, grossing only $24 million worldwide against an estimated production budget between $80 million and $90 million, according to industry sources.
