Conagra Brands Staff Craft World’s Longest Meat Snack at 1.1308 Meters

Staff at U.S. food company Conagra Brands in Omaha, Nebraska, set a new Guinness World Records title by producing the longest meat-based snack ever made.

The record-breaking measurement

The finished product measured exactly 1.1308 meters in length, surpassing the prior record—held by Wenzel’s Farm since August 2023—by 35 meters.

Preserving taste and integrity

The effort, undertaken by a team calling itself “Blaze Crew,” was not solely about scale. The central challenge lay in maintaining the original flavor profile and certified recipe of the well-known “Slim Jim” product without compromising quality—and ensuring the piece remained intact throughout processing and transport.

Manufacturing precision

Inside the facility, production followed exacting steps: the standard meat mixture was prepared and then carefully wrapped around a rotating cylindrical support to keep the blend dry and cohesive during shaping.

Public unveiling and verification

The final piece was moved to the company’s parking lot, where dozens of aligned tables formed an extended platform for display before hundreds of gathered employees.

Guinness World Records adjudicator Michael Embrick oversaw on-site measurement and verification in accordance with official standards, before formally certifying the new record and entering the attempt into the Guinness World Records database.
