Egyptian blogger Modat Al-Adham has reappeared following her release after completing her sentence in the cases of human trafficking and money laundering.

Modat Al-Adham announced her exit from prison through a video posted on her official «Instagram» account, where she appeared emotional and cried tears of joy at regaining her freedom. She addressed her followers saying: "Praise be to God for the blessing of freedom, I am fine, I am well."

The Egyptian blogger was keen to thank everyone who asked about her and followed her news during her absence, confirming that she is preparing to return to creating content on social media platforms, but in a different and more beneficial manner.

She also warned her followers against fake accounts impersonating her, clarifying that her only official account currently is her «Instagram» profile.

Why Did Modat Al-Adham Go to Prison?
The beginning of Modat Al-Adham's crisis dates back to 2020, when she was arrested as part of investigations related to the video content she published on social media platforms. She faced accusations of publishing content considered indecent and inciting debauchery, along with charges of violating family values.

Investigations later expanded to include charges of human trafficking, based on the exploitation of children under the age of 18 in filming and publishing videos on social media sites to generate financial returns.

In June 2021, a verdict was issued sentencing her to six years in prison, alongside a fine of 200,000 pounds, before the Court of Cassation upheld the ruling.

A separate verdict was also issued against her, sentencing her to one year in prison and fining her 4 million pounds, with the confiscation of seized items, in the money laundering case, bringing the total sentence across both cases to seven years.
