Former U.S. President Joe Biden faced a challenging moment when he struggled to leave the stage following his speech at a Democratic Party event, requiring help to locate the correct exit direction.

The incident occurred during the "Respond and Win" summit organized by the Democratic Party in Maryland near Baltimore, where Biden criticized President Donald Trump and defended his administration’s record.

During his remarks, Biden accused Trump of deliberate distractions and undermining NATO, while mocking plans to build a ballroom in the White House, describing it as a project born out of vanity.

At the conclusion of his speech, Biden reiterated his usual message about America’s ability to overcome challenges before seeking assistance to find his way off the stage.

The DJ at the event pointed Biden toward the stage exit after his remarks.

This appearance took place at the Live! Hotel and Casino in Hanover, Maryland, just days after Biden attended the opening of former President Barack Obama’s library in Chicago.

During that event, Biden appeared confused near the end, shouting "Where’s my granddaughter?" as he moved toward the stage. On other occasions, former First Lady Jill Biden accompanied him to guide his movements.

Biden, aged 83, relied on an autocue during his Saturday evening speech, occasionally narrowing his eyes while reading and coughing loudly several times at the start of the address.

Addressing Democratic supporters, he said, "Have you noticed that Americans say the economy under the Biden administration was much better than under Trump?"

He added, "It’s not just about vanity projects, from demolishing the White House’s east wing to make way for a ballroom, putting his name on the Kennedy Center, building an arch in his honor, and even hiring someone privately to fix the reflecting pool. What a loser."

Biden also expressed surprise that Trump "made billions" upon returning to the White House, adding that he "shows no shame."

This episode follows a series of similar incidents Biden has experienced during his presidency, including previously misfollowing stage movement instructions during a group photo of G7 leaders in Italy in 2024.

Meanwhile, former First Lady Jill Biden has increased her media appearances to promote her new book, revealing that she initially feared her husband might have been having a stroke during his poor performance in the 2024 presidential debate.
