Peacock Extends 'The Traitors' Through Season 8 Amid Record Viewership
Peacock has renewed Alan Cumming’s reality series *The Traitors* for three additional seasons, bringing it to Season 8, following a 72% viewership increase and 8.1 billion minutes viewed in Season 4.
Peacock has renewed *The Traitors*, the Studio Lambert-produced reality competition hosted by Alan Cumming, for three more seasons—extending the series through Season 8. The renewal follows Season 4’s record-breaking performance, which delivered an 72% rise in viewership over Season 3 and accumulated 8.1 billion minutes viewed, according to Peacock first-party data and Nielsen.
Season 5 Cast Announced With 23 Celebrities
The streaming service has officially unveiled the 23-person cast for Season 5, set to premiere in 2027 at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. Dominic Monaghan of *The Lord of the Rings*, Johnny Sibilly from *Hacks*, and Casey Wilson, a former *Saturday Night Live* cast member, are among those confirmed.
Kristin Chenoweth, a Tony and Emmy winner, joins the lineup alongside reality television figures including Bianca Del Rio (*RuPaul’s Drag Race*), Jag Bains and Taylor Hale (*Big Brother* and *The Amazing Race*, respectively), and Survivor champions Michele Fitzgerald and Q Burdette.
Also competing are Rachel Robinson (*The Challenge*), Joey Graziadei (*The Bachelor*), JaNa Craig (*Love Island USA*), and Bravo personalities Craig Conover, Cynthia Bailey, and Gizelle Bryant.
The roster includes Bronwyn Newport (*The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City*), Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, former NFL running back Rashad Jennings, singer Cody Simpson, comedian Iain Stirling, and internet creators Boman Martinez-Reid, Emira D’Spain, and Whitney Leavitt.
Award-Winning Franchise Expands Further
The franchise has earned seven Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Reality Competition Program and three consecutive Outstanding Host honors for Cumming. He will return as host and executive producer for Season 5 and beyond.
In addition to the main series, Peacock is expanding the franchise with *The Traitors: New Blood*, a civilian-focused spinoff that airs Thursdays on NBC before streaming on Peacock.
Previous seasons of *The Traitors* remain available for streaming exclusively on Peacock.
