Python snake wraps around neck of youth in Uttar Pradesh
A young man was attacked by a large python in India's Uttar Pradesh, requiring villagers to intervene for 30 minutes to free him.

A sudden attack by a massive python left a young man trapped in the southern Nagan area of Uttar Pradesh state, India. The reptile coiled tightly around the victim’s neck and body, securing a firm grip that prevented immediate escape.
Villagers intervene to rescue victim
Circulating video footage captured the youth struggling to break free from the snake’s hold. Local residents rushed to assist, striking the python with sticks for approximately 30 minutes until they managed to loosen its grip and release the young man.
The incident resulted in severe injuries to the victim’s hand. He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical treatment for his wounds.
Forest officials relocate the snake
Authorities were notified following the attack, prompting a response from forest management teams. These officials successfully captured and controlled the python after it had been released from the victim.
The forest department relocated the snake to a wooded area distant from human settlements. The event has generated significant anxiety among residents of the region regarding safety from wildlife encounters.
