The sixth season of Ruthless is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ on June 30, 2026, marking the continuation of the drama’s storyline centered around the Rakudushis cult.
Paramount+ will launch the new season by releasing the first two episodes simultaneously on the premiere date. Subsequent episodes will be made available weekly every Tuesday, culminating in a midseason finale set for August 25, 2026.
This season revisits the Rakudushis compound amid escalating tensions. Ruth Truesdale’s influence over The Highest has grown, positioning her with more power but also generating internal conflicts within the cult as shifting power dynamics expose divisions among members.
The narrative intensifies as new alliances form and the FBI increases its pressure on the organization. The season explores the mounting conflicts both inside and outside the compound, leading to heightened dangers and significant confrontations as relationships and interests collide.
Returning cast members include Melissa L. Williams, Matt Cedeno, Baadja-Lyne Odums, Blue Kimble, Colin McCalla, Michelle Núñez, Nadége August, and Joshua Adeyeye. Tyler Perry continues as executive producer alongside Angi Bones, Tony L. Strickland, Will Areu, and Tommy Watt. Courtney Glaudé holds roles as writer, director, and supervising producer.
Ruthless originally premiered on March 19, 2020, and has since cultivated a dedicated fan base. The series maintains a 91 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes and ranks among Tyler Perry’s most successful projects. It is a spin-off of the BET drama The Oval.
