Tom Holland has identified Owen Cooper as the actor he would choose to succeed him as Spider-Man, praising his talent and recent accolades.

Tom Holland has expressed his preference for Owen Cooper as the next actor to portray Spider-Man.
Spider-Man is traditionally depicted as a youthful character, with his origin story involving a spider bite during his high school years, which often leads to casting younger actors for the role.
Holland has stated that he intends to continue playing Spider-Man until it no longer fits his career path.
“I would love to pass the baton on, but I haven’t achieved that yet … I think the truth is that playing Spider-Man has been the joy of my life. I now kind of stand on the plinth of like, I’ll do it for as long as they’ll have me,” he said in a previous interview.
When asked about his choice for the next young actor to take on the Spider-Man role, Holland mentioned Owen Cooper, star of the series Adolescence. He described Cooper as “super-talented” and “the talk of the town right now.”
Owen Cooper has received multiple prestigious awards for his performance in the Netflix series, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, the British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actor, the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Series, Miniseries or Television Film, and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series.
The upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for release on July 31.
