Tom Holland addressed his potential involvement as 007 in the James Bond series while promoting his new film “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” alongside Zendaya. Since Daniel Craig's departure from the role, speculation about the next actor to assume James Bond has intensified.

In an interview for Esquire’s July/August issue, Holland expressed his enthusiasm for espionage films and his connection to the Bond legacy. He recalled, “I mean, of course, I’m young and British, and, you know, I’ve always been a huge fan of espionage movies. I’ve grown up with all of the Bond films, and I remember going to see Casino Royale for my birthday.”

Barbara Broccoli, who had long produced the Bond movies, recently left the franchise. The series is now under Amazon’s control, with Denis Villeneuve set to direct the next installment. Holland revealed one key consideration regarding the role: “The thing I’ve found really difficult is that Amy Pascal is producing that movie,” whom he described as his “absolute ride or die.”

He added, “She has shepherded me through this process in such an amazing way. I am trying to be respectful of my relationship with her, and that this is a professional thing. I don’t want to overstep in any way. So I don’t know, but it’s something I do think about.”

Despite his current obligations to the Spider-Man franchise, Holland expressed openness to playing Bond. He told Esquire, “I think if you were lucky enough to get that job, like, who am I to turn my nose up at the most iconic British character in modern cinema?” Holland is preparing for a busy summer with the releases of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey.”
