Frenchman Kylian Mbappé, striker for Spanish club Real Madrid, returned from his trip to Cagliari with his partner, Spanish actress Ester Expósito, yesterday Sunday.

The Spanish program "El Chiringuito" reported that Mbappé's return to the airport was at 8:48, just 12 minutes before the Real Madrid and Espanyol match.

Although Kylian Mbappé was expected to play in that match, the French striker traveled with Ester Expósito to Cagliari, the capital of the Italian island of Sardinia.

Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa is now preparing for a match in 6 days against Barcelona in El Clásico, hoping to save face for the Royal Giant, who was expected to officially lose the league yesterday Sunday, were it not for the 2-0 victory over Espanyol with goals from Brazilian Vinicius Junior.

For its part, the Spanish newspaper "AS" indicated that Mbappé's return minutes before the Espanyol match angered Real Madrid fans.

The public felt that Mbappé, after suffering a hamstring tear in his left foot, should have prepared better for El Clásico, in addition to supporting his teammates in the Espanyol match.

Although this action is not considered a challenge to the club, it left a bad impression during this difficult time faced by Real Madrid, who have not won any titles this season, which increased the prevailing tension.

Mbappé, with 24 goals in La Liga, aims to maintain his lead in the local competition's top scorer list, a goal that is no longer easy now after Kosovan Vedat Muriqi, Real Mallorca's star, has gotten closer to him, with 21 goals, with 4 rounds remaining.

It is worth noting that Mbappé has scored 41 goals in all competitions in 41 matches this season and still leads the Champions League top scorer standings by two goals ahead of Bayern Munich striker, Englishman Harry Kane.
