US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he "agrees" to Iran's participation in the World Cup finals, which will be held in North America in June and July.
Trump's comments came after the President of the International Football Federation (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, said on Thursday that Iran would participate in the finals and play in the United States.
Trump clarified in statements to reporters in the Oval Office: "If Gianni said that, then I agree... Let them play."
