iPhone 20: Could Apple Reinvent the Phone for Its 20th
Leaks suggest the iPhone 20, arriving in 2027, may feature a haptic button system, a 6000mAh battery, and a full-screen design.

As Apple nears the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone—first unveiled by Steve Jobs in 2007—leaks are emerging about a device tentatively called the "iPhone 20," expected to launch in 2027 with what insiders describe as radical, unprecedented changes. The milestone device may represent a complete overhaul of the smartphone form factor.
One of the most significant rumored updates is the elimination of traditional physical buttons. In their place, Apple is reportedly developing "solid-state" buttons that rely on haptic feedback. These buttons would not physically depress but would simulate the sensation of a click. They are said to function even under challenging conditions, such as when the user is wearing gloves or has wet hands. Notably, the system is also expected to work when the phone is powered off, powered by a dedicated low-energy chip.
Massive Battery and New Display Tech
According to the leaks, the iPhone 20 could pack a battery with a capacity of up to 6,000 mAh, a substantial leap over current models, and support reverse wireless charging. The device is also tipped to integrate the Face ID sensor beneath the display, alongside a hidden front-facing camera, enabling a nearly bezel-less, full-screen design.
Apple is expected to adopt a dual-layer OLED screen, which could significantly boost brightness and energy efficiency. Furthermore, the company may replace traditional earpiece speakers with a vibrating screen technology that produces sound directly from the display.
