View counts alone are no longer sufficient to generate profits from the YouTube platform; alongside advertising revenue, partnerships with brands, audience subscriptions, and live streaming have become pathways around which independent businesses can be built.

During the Made on YouTube 2026 event, YouTube showcased new tools for content creators aimed at facilitating these pathways.

The platform is working to enhance opportunities for content creators to reap rewards through the YouTube Creator Partnerships program, which it states is now available in 20 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt.

The program aims to increase the visibility of content creators' work to brands, helping both parties reach suitable partnerships.

The company is also working on adding tools to manage these partnerships within YouTube Studio. Starting early next year, content creators enrolled in the YouTube Partner Program will be able to use Ask Studio to draft customized responses to brand requests, prepare collaboration proposals they suggest themselves, and receive guidance on adjusting their profiles to suit each brand's goals.

YouTube intends to roll out the tools globally, including in the Arab region and the Middle East, but has not announced a list of supported languages at launch.

Generating Revenue from YouTube
Reach figures published by YouTube illustrate the size of the potential market for these partnerships; in September 2025, the platform reached more than 45 million adults in Egypt, more than 20 million in Saudi Arabia, and a similar number in Morocco, along with more than 7.5 million adults in the UAE.

This audience extends to internet-connected televisions; YouTube states that it reached more than 12 million adults in Saudi Arabia via this medium, 7 million in Egypt, and 6 million in Morocco. In the UAE, reach across those screens exceeded 2.5 million people aged between 18 and 44 years.

The figures reflect an opportunity for content creators who produce shows or longer episodes viewable on television screens, alongside clips designed for mobile phones.
