DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo drops to $979, lowest price ever

A $120 reduction brings the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo with RC 2 down to $979. This pricing represents an approximately 11% discount from the standard retail value of $1,099 for this specific configuration.

Bundle contents and value

The package includes the upgraded RC 2 controller, which features a built-in display, eliminating the need to attach a smartphone for flight operations. Pilots receive three standard Intelligent Flight Batteries, a charging hub, spare propellers, a carry bag, and ND filters within this bundle.

Buying the drone separately and adding accessories individually typically costs more than this bundled setup. The included components are designed to support extended flying sessions immediately upon purchase.

Camera and video capabilities

The Mini 5 Pro utilizes a 1-inch CMOS camera sensor capable of recording 4K video at up to 120 frames per second in slow-motion mode. It also supports 50MP still photos and 4K/60fps HDR video recording.

For post-production flexibility, the drone offers 10-bit D-Log M and HLG color profiles. The gimbal allows for 225-degree rotation, including true vertical shooting, which facilitates native capture for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts without cropping horizontal footage.

Tracking and safety systems

ActiveTrack 360° maintains subject framing during movement, assisting solo creators filming activities such as cycling or hiking. Omnidirectional obstacle sensing, supported by forward-facing LiDAR and vision sensors, helps detect obstacles in challenging environments, including low-light conditions.

An enhanced Return to Home system can memorize flight routes under suitable conditions, allowing the drone to return even when satellite positioning is unavailable. These safeguards do not replace careful piloting but add layers of protection.

Storage and flight time

The drone contains 42GB of built-in storage alongside a microSD card slot. The standard Intelligent Flight Battery provides up to 36 minutes of flight time, though actual duration varies based on conditions and usage.

At $979, this combo reaches its lowest-ever price point, combining flagship imaging, smart tracking, and essential accessories in one package.
