Garmin launches six MARQ Gen 3 models starting at $2,500, adding inReach satellite features and LTE connectivity to the titanium line.

Price tags for Garmin’s latest luxury timepieces begin at $2,500, marking a $600 increase over the previous generation. The company revealed six distinct models on October 13, integrating built-in LTE and satellite messaging capabilities that were absent from the 2022 MARQ Gen 2 lineup.

Each watch features a 47 mm case constructed from Grade 5 titanium, protected by sapphire glass and equipped with a 1.4-inch AMOLED display. Internal storage offers 128 GB, sufficient for offline maps and music files. Standard hardware includes GPS, NFC, a speaker, a microphone, and an integrated flashlight, alongside 10 ATM water resistance ratings.

Battery endurance reaches 18 days in smartwatch mode according to Garmin. Enabling the always-on display reduces this duration to approximately seven days.

The primary upgrade involves the inReach service, which allows users to send messages, access weather forecasts, and trigger SOS alerts via LTE or satellite connections to Garmin’s 24-hour response center. Voice calls are supported when using LTE networks. Certain functions require a subscription, with regional coverage variations noted. The5kRunner reports an LTE-only plan priced at $9.99 per month.

All units come preloaded with TopoActive maps covering global territories.
Adventurer: Includes Italian leather strap, compass bezel markings, and ClimbPro hill tracking.
Athlete: Focuses on endurance metrics, running efficiency data, and VO2 max measurements.
Aviator: Features aviation maps, weather data, and a dedicated UTC hand.
Commander: Offers stealth mode, night-vision compatibility, and an Applied Ballistics calculator.

Diver: Rated for dives up to 40 metres, with sealed buttons and support for compatible dive equipment.
Golfer: Provides Virtual Caddie, green contour data, and more than 43,000 preloaded courses.
Health monitoring tools track heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels, sleep patterns, and heart rate variability. An ECG application can detect signs of atrial fibrillation, subject to country-specific regulatory approval.

In the United States, prices range from $2,500 to $3,100. For comparison, the Gen 2 Athlete model was previously sold for $1,900. UK pricing cited by Wareable lists the Athlete at £2,199, while the Aviator, Commander, and Diver models cost £2,699.
Retail sales commence on November 5. Pre-orders are exclusively available through Garmin.com, with estimated shipping times between 5 and 12 weeks depending on the specific model selected. Current orders may not arrive before the holiday season.
Consumers prioritizing satellite messaging without the premium materials might consider the Fenix 9 Pro inReach. Priced at $1,299, it offers similar LTE and satellite features. The MARQ series commands higher costs due to its titanium construction, ceramic finishes, and specialized toolsets.
