New leaks detail the design and specs of the upcoming iPhone Air 2, expected alongside iPhone 18 models in spring 2027.

Recent leaks have unveiled key specifications and design elements of the anticipated iPhone Air 2, which is expected to be the second generation in Apple's Air phone lineup. The device is rumored to launch in spring 2027 alongside the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e models, featuring notable improvements in camera technology and overall performance.
For the first time in the Air series, the iPhone Air 2 is set to include a dual rear camera system. Popular YouTuber Jon Prosser shared a series of design images on his Front Page Tech channel, claiming these visuals are based on information from Apple’s supply chain. The leaks suggest that Apple is addressing one of the main criticisms of the original Air model by adding a second rear camera.
The leaked images indicate the phone will have a new rear camera module housing two 48-megapixel sensors: a primary sensor and an ultra-wide lens. This configuration aims to provide users with greater flexibility in photography compared to the previous generation, which featured only a single camera.
According to the leaks, Apple may redesign the internal components of the Face ID system to create additional space for the second camera without compromising the slim profile characteristic of the Air series. The company is expected to maintain the lightweight and thin design philosophy introduced with the first generation, continuing to use a titanium chassis.
On the performance front, the iPhone Air 2 is reported to be powered by the new A20 or A20 Pro chip, anticipated to be manufactured using 2-nanometer technology. This advancement could deliver a significant boost in processing power and energy efficiency compared to current models. Earlier leaks have suggested that the Air 2 will likely use the A20 Pro variant, offering near-flagship performance despite its ultra-thin design.
The device is also expected to feature a 6.55-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, promising smoother experiences for browsing, gaming, and media consumption. Regarding pricing, analyses from JPMorgan Chase forecast that Apple may increase the price of its next iPhone generation by at least $50, with some estimates suggesting price hikes up to $300 on certain models.
While Apple has yet to officially confirm any details about the iPhone 18 series or the second-generation iPhone Air, current leaks indicate the company plans to expand its release schedule. The rollout is expected to begin with the professional models, followed by standard and Air versions throughout 2027.
