Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ India Launch Set for June 4 with Exclusive Features

On June 4, 2026, Motorola will introduce the Edge 70 Pro+ in India, unveiling its complete specifications ahead of the launch. This new model builds on the global Edge 70 Pro, which has been available in the UK since early May, by adding a periscope telephoto lens and 15W wireless charging capabilities.

The Edge 70 Pro+ features a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It supports HDR10+ and boasts a peak brightness of 5,200 nits along with Pantone-certified 10-bit color accuracy. Powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor, the device is equipped with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

Its camera array includes three 50-megapixel sensors: a main sensor utilizing Sony’s Lytia 710, an ultrawide lens with autofocus, and a periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom. The front-facing camera also has a 50-megapixel resolution with autofocus. The battery capacity is 6,500mAh, supporting 90W wired charging alongside the new 15W wireless charging option.

Connectivity features encompass 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS. The phone holds IP68 and IP69 water resistance certifications and meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards. Motorola has committed to providing three years of operating system updates and five years of security patches for this model.

Alongside the technical specifications, the Edge 70 Pro+ will be available in three Pantone-curated colors: Chicory Coffee, Stormy Sea, and Zinfandel, the latter being showcased in promotional images for the India launch.

Availability and Features in the UK Market

The Edge 70 Pro+ is primarily an India-specific upgrade, with no confirmed release date for the UK or US markets. The existing global Edge 70 Pro, currently sold by Vodafone UK at £749.99 on contract, already includes the periscope zoom and wireless charging features that distinguish the Pro+ variant.

Given that the UK version already offers these headline specifications, Motorola has not indicated whether the Plus model will be introduced to British or American consumers. Unless the Pro+ is offered at a significantly lower price or includes additional features, UK buyers have little incentive to wait for its arrival. Prospective customers seeking a mid-range Motorola smartphone in the UK effectively have access to the Pro+’s key specifications through the current Edge 70 Pro.
