Oppo Find X10 Pro Max debuts with triple 200MP sensors and 200x zoom

A smartphone equipped with three 200-megapixel rear cameras has never reached the market until now. The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max breaks this barrier, offering a configuration that includes a 200x maximum digital zoom when paired with optional hardware. Chinese technology publication ITHome conducted an extensive real-world evaluation of the device’s imaging capabilities following its late September release in China, where it starts at CNY 6,799 (approximately $1,015). According to Gagadget, international availability, including in the United Kingdom, is scheduled for late October.

Core sensor specifications

The main camera module houses a large 1/1.3-inch sensor behind an f/1.5 aperture lens, supported by optical image stabilisation rated at CIPA 6.5 stops. Oppo’s proprietary DeepPix processing system asserts dynamic range capabilities up to 17 stops, allowing the phone to retain detail in both deep shadows and bright highlights within a single frame. Unlike some competitors, the Find X10 Pro Max preserves full-resolution 200MP files rather than downsampling during capture, enabling significant cropping in post-production without losing usable pixel data. This approach contrasts with the iPhone 18 Pro Max, which reportedly outputs 12MP files from its zoom lens.

Telephoto and ultrawide modules

The secondary 200MP sensor functions as a periscope telephoto lens, featuring a 1/1.56-inch sensor, f/2.1 aperture, and a 70mm equivalent focal length. Its stabilisation system is more robust, rated at CIPA 7.5 stops. The third 200MP unit serves as an ultrawide camera with a 124-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture. A second-generation Danxia colour sensor integrates these three lenses, increasing light sensitivity by 43% while maintaining consistent colour accuracy across all modules.

Hasselblad integration and zoom limits

Oppo and Hasselblad expanded their collaboration in 2025, bringing the Swedish brand’s colour science and a dedicated Ultra Clear mode to the Find X10 Pro Max. Standard digital zoom extends to 120x. Testing indicates that image detail remains strong at 6x and 10x magnification, with subjects still identifiable at 30x and 60x, surpassing typical smartphone performance. For extended reach, users can attach an optional Hasselblad teleconverter kit via a specific adapter. This accessory increases optical zoom to a true 10x and provides a 20x "lossless" mode. With the kit installed, maximum digital zoom reaches 200x, although algorithmic artifacts become visible at this extreme level.

Software features and pricing

The software suite includes Oppo’s LUMO system, which allows independent adjustment of portrait backgrounds relative to the subject, offering 18 presets. A companion feature, LUMO Inspiration Composition, utilizes AI trained on 200 million pose examples and three million tourist locations to provide real-time framing suggestions. In the UK, Tech Advisor reports that Oppo offers an early-bird deposit scheme: a £49 payment secures a £200 discount plus either a free Hasselblad teleconverter kit or a Watch X3. Full retail prices are expected to exceed £1,000. US pricing and carrier details remain unannounced, though direct-to-consumer sales appear likely given Oppo’s limited US retail presence. Comparative testing against the computational photography systems of the iPhone 18 Pro Max and Galaxy S26 Ultra has not yet occurred.
