PS Plus Extra October lineup: Mafia and Horizon join, Silent Hill 2 exits
Sony adds seven titles including Mafia: The Old Country to PS Plus Extra on Oct 20, while eight games leave the catalog on Oct 18.

PlayStation Plus subscribers face a significant catalog shift this month. Seven new titles enter the Extra and Premium tiers on October 20, headlined by Mafia: The Old Country and Horizon Forbidden West. Conversely, eight existing games are scheduled for removal two days earlier, on October 18, including the Silent Hill 2 remake.
New additions to the catalog
The incoming list features Mafia: The Old Country (PS5), Horizon Forbidden West (PS4/PS5), Mycopunk (PS5), Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 (PS4/PS5), The Midnight Walk (PS5), Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition (PS4/PS5), and Monster Energy Supercross 25 (PS5). Mafia: The Old Country serves as the primary draw, having launched in August 2025 at a retail price of £44.99. Subscribers gain access approximately 14 months after its initial release.
Horizon Forbidden West returns to the service, marking a repeat appearance from previous years. Mycopunk, a cooperative shooter supporting up to four players, represents the newest entry among the added titles. While Sony designates October 20 as the main launch date for these additions, regional availability may vary between the US and UK. Users should verify specific listing dates on the PlayStation Store for their location.
Premium tier exclusives
Subscribers to the Premium tier receive additional retro content. Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition join the classic library. Furthermore, timed trials become available for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II. These trials allow limited playtime with newer releases before a purchase decision is required.
Games leaving the service
The October 18 departure list includes Silent Hill 2 (remake), Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Gloomhaven: Mercenaries Edition, Jurassic World Evolution 2, Rogue Lords, Lake, Death Squared, and Harvest Moon: Light of Hope Special Edition. Players currently engaged with lengthy titles such as Silent Hill 2 or Yakuza: Like a Dragon have only days to complete their progress before access expires.
Save data typically remains on consoles or within cloud storage. This allows users to resume gameplay later if they choose to buy the title outright or resubscribe to the service. The current month’s offerings prioritize established names over fresh launches, catering to those who missed earlier releases rather than seeking day-one access.
