Vivo Y600 Turbo set for China launch with 9,020mAh battery
Vivo will launch the Y600 Turbo in China on May 25, 2026, with a 9,020mAh battery, 90W charging and IP68/IP69 ratings.

Vivo will launch the Y600 Turbo in China on May 25, 2026, and the phone will come with a 9,020mAh battery and 90W charging. It is being pitched at users who do not want to carry a power bank or look for a charger at the end of the day.
Battery Capacity and Charging
Vivo says the 9,020mAh cell is almost twice the capacity of most flagship phones. The company calls the battery technology “Blue Ocean” and says it delivers high energy density without the brick-like bulk that large cells usually bring.
Charging is rated at 90W, which should make refills quick once the phone is plugged in. Vivo also gives the Y600 Turbo IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it can handle submersion, pressure washing and high temperatures.

Hardware Behind the Model
The Y600 Turbo is effectively a rebadged iQOO Z11, which launched in March 2026 at around $320 (2,299 yuan). It carries the same specifications: a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 main camera.
Vivo describes the chipset as a capable mid-ranger for everyday apps and casual gaming without significant heat issues. The company’s rugged ratings put the phone in the same tier as devices aimed at tradespeople and outdoor users, which is unusual for a mainstream brand at this price point.
The Mid-Range Battery Race

The phone arrives as 9,000mAh becomes a genuine commodity spec in the mid-range, according to Gizmochina's battery race 2026 coverage. The OnePlus Nord 6 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max both have 9,000mAh batteries, and Redmi is reportedly working toward 10,000mAh models.
Battery capacity has overtaken raw performance as the main battleground in the mid-range spec war. For Western buyers, there is also a practical issue: the Y600 Turbo uses a single-cell battery design, which faces stricter shipping regulations in the EU than dual-cell alternatives, adding transport costs that brands like Xiaomi and Honor have avoided by splitting capacity across two cells, according to PhoneArena's reporting on EU battery shipping barriers.
China-Only Pattern

Vivo's previous Y600 Pro, a 10,200mAh phone launched in April 2026, never left China, as Gizmochina Y600 Pro confirmed. The Y600 Turbo appears set to follow the same pattern.
For buyers in the US or UK, the phone is best seen as a sign of where the mid-range is heading rather than a current purchase option. If Vivo brings it west under the iQOO branding, $320 for a phone that can last multiple days would be a strong offer.
Until then, the Redmi Turbo 5 Max and upcoming dual-cell competitors remain the models to watch for big-battery buyers outside China.
