A mobile processor developed by Xiaomi has achieved 5,228,014 points on AnTuTu V11, becoming the first chip to surpass the 5.2 million benchmark, according to GSMArena. The chip, named Xring O3, will power the company’s upcoming 18 Fold foldable smartphone.

Design and launch timeline

The Xiaomi 18 Fold is scheduled for release in late September 2026. It marks Xiaomi’s first book-style foldable since the Mix Fold 4 launched in 2024. Real-world photos of the device in Burgundy Red have appeared on Weibo, showing a shorter and wider form factor that aligns more closely with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 than earlier Mix Fold models.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has been photographed using the device, as reported by Android Authority, indicating the hardware has reached an advanced stage of development. The Burgundy Red color variant is notable, though similar shades are also rumored for the iPhone 18 Pro — suggesting broader industry adoption rather than a Xiaomi-specific choice.

Chip specifications and memory support

The Xring O3 processor is fabricated on TSMC’s 3nm process and contains 24 billion transistors. It features a 10-core CPU configuration. In addition to its AnTuTu score, the chip supports LPDDR6 memory — a specification ahead of most flagship smartphones released in 2025.

The 18 Fold will be the inaugural device for the Xring O3. By contrast, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max — both launching at the same September 2026 event — will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 instead.

Regional availability and certification status

No evidence indicates the 18 Fold will be sold outside mainland China. European Economic Community (EEC) certifications required for distribution in Europe have been filed for the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, but not for the 18 Fold, per Notebookcheck. No regulatory filings for the United States have surfaced either.

As a result, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 — priced at $1,899 — remains the sole wide-format foldable available in North America and the UK. Xiaomi has not disclosed pricing, battery capacity, or camera specifications for the 18 Fold. Separately, the standard Xiaomi 18 (non-foldable) has been delayed to December 2026 or January 2027.
