Jordan opened the scoring in the 36th minute through Nizar Al-Rashdan, who converted a powerful shot inside the penalty area following an excellent pass from Mousa Al-Tamari. Despite Algeria's intense pressure, Jordan maintained their 1-0 lead at halftime.
