In preparation for the 2026 World Cup, organizers have planned to deploy drones to safeguard spectators at the tournament's stadiums.

According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, the World Cup venues will be equipped with medical drones designed to ensure rapid response to medical emergencies in the stands.

These drones will carry equipment such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) devices, epinephrine injections, and first aid kits, ready for use across stadiums in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This initiative aims to enhance fan safety during the event.

The unmanned aerial vehicles, capable of landing at designated spots within the stadiums, will also be fitted with wireless communication devices. This will allow individuals near an injured person to connect with specially trained paramedics during emergencies.

It has been noted that halting matches due to medical emergencies in the stands has become increasingly common recently.

Organizers hope that the use of drones will contribute to providing assistance as quickly as possible, while also reducing disruptions to the matches.
