Egypt Confirms Salah and Abdelmonem Will Play Against Australia
Egyptian Football Federation confirms Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Abdelmonem will be ready for the World Cup match against Australia.

Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Abdelmonem are expected to be fit for Egypt's upcoming World Cup match against Australia, according to Abu Zahra, a member of the Egyptian Football Federation's board and deputy head of the national team's delegation in the United States.
In a televised statement, Abu Zahra said, "Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Abdelmonem will be ready for the match against Australia. Meanwhile, Hossam Abdel Meguid was ready for the previous game, but the coaching staff decided to rest him, and the same applies to Hamdy Fathi."
Salah and Abdelmonem sustained injuries during Egypt's 1-1 draw with Iran in the final Group G match of the World Cup on Saturday. Salah left the field 11 minutes into the second half, while Abdelmonem was injured shortly after causing a penalty that Iran's Mehdi Taremi missed.
Egypt qualified for the knockout stage of the World Cup for the first time in its history by finishing second in Group G with 5 points. Their group results included a 1-1 draw with Belgium, a 3-1 victory over New Zealand, and the 1-1 draw with Iran.
The Egyptian team is scheduled to face Australia in Dallas on Friday evening in the round of 32 of the tournament.
