Egypt secured its place in the round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup, finishing second in Group 7 with five points, edging out group leader Belgium on goal difference.

On Wednesday night, the Egyptian Football Association shared video footage of the national team's training session held at Gonzaga University Stadium in Spokane, United States.

According to a statement from the association, the Egyptian senior team, under the guidance of the Hassan twins, Hosam and Ibrahim, conducted their training at Gonzaga University in Spokane as part of preparations for their upcoming match against Australia on Friday in the round of 32 of the World Cup 2026.

The training session included the full participation of Hamdi Fathi, while Mohamed Salah took part in part of the practice. Meanwhile, Mohamed Abdelmonem and Ahmed Fattouh engaged in therapeutic training, indicating progress in Salah's condition after he had been experiencing hamstring pain.

Ibrahim Hassan, the team's sporting director, stated that the Egyptian team trained at 9 p.m. on Wednesday and planned to travel to Dallas early Thursday morning to prepare for the match against Australia.

Should Egypt win against Australia, they will face either the defending champions Argentina or Cape Verde in the round of 16.
