Everyone is aware that England’s primary strategy for the upcoming World Cup quarterfinal match on Sunday revolves around neutralizing Norway’s striker, Erling Haaland.

Thomas Tuchel, the German coach of England, stated that Haaland is in the best physical shape of his career and at the height of his footballing prowess.

Standing approximately 195 cm tall, Haaland’s preferred positions on the field make it almost impossible for opponents to stop him. His large and strong physique, combined with exceptional skill, makes it highly likely that the ball will end up in the net when he receives it.

Following a shaky start in the knockout stages against the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Euro 2024 runner-up overcame all obstacles to secure a victory over Mexico in the round of 16.

Tuchel described the thrilling 3-2 win as a valuable experience in every respect but emphasized that this success amid difficulties is now behind them, as the English team shifts focus to their match against Norway.

The team faces several challenges in Miami, including heat, humidity, and the critical task of limiting Haaland’s threat. The German coach urges his players to deliver an exceptional performance.

Speaking ahead of the match at Hard Rock Stadium, Tuchel said, “I generally believe that what it takes in the round of 32 and round of 16, as we have explained to the team, is to find a way to win.”

He added, “We are now in the quarterfinals, and the brave will be lucky. There is no room for regrets when playing in the quarterfinals; we must give our utmost effort—that is what matters most.”

Tuchel concluded, “We are on the right path to achieve that. We want to take the next step.”
