Czech police reported bomb threats targeting flights departing from and arriving at Prague International Airport, affecting at least eight flights. Security measures were implemented with minimal impact on air traffic.

Czech police announced today, Friday, that they received bomb threats targeting flights departing from Prague International Airport and others heading to it, noting that security measures were taken to handle the reports while striving to limit their impact on air traffic.
A spokesperson for Prague Airport said the threats involved at least 8 flights, confirming that inspections have so far not resulted in the discovery of any explosive devices, nor did the security measures necessitate the cancellation or rerouting of flights.
In a related development, a source at Rome Fiumicino Airport administration stated that a Wizz Air plane, en route from Prague to the Italian capital Rome, was diverted to Venice, where it landed today, Friday, following a report of a bomb on board.
The Italian news agency ANSA had previously reported that the alert came via a phone call to the control tower at Rome Fiumicino Airport; however, the source denied the accuracy of this account, without clarifying details about the entity that reported the threat.
These developments come amid precautionary security measures at Prague Airport, while Czech authorities have not revealed the identity of the party responsible for the threats or the nature of the reports targeting the flights.
