Evacuations and Displacement: Israel Empties Entire Areas in the West Bank After Hebron Attack
Israeli forces conducted a massive military operation across the West Bank, ordering evacuations in Hebron after an attack that killed two soldiers.

Early Saturday morning, the Israeli army stormed 24 cities and villages during a comprehensive military operation targeting the West Bank, covering the governorates of Hebron, Nablus, Tubas, Jenin, Bethlehem, Jericho, and Bil'in.
During its raid on Hebron city, the Israeli army ordered residents of several areas to evacuate their homes and leave the city, following the expansion of its military operation and the deployment of reinforcements around all its entrances.
The Israeli army requested via loudspeakers that residents of the "Al-Jalada" and "Ein Deir Baha" areas in Hebron city leave their neighborhoods and relocate to other areas.
A large force from the Israeli army began besieging the home of one of the perpetrators of the Hebron operation on Friday morning in the "Al-Jalada" neighborhood of Hebron city.
Dozens of families began displacing from the area to neighboring regions after the Israeli army announced three exit points from the zone it stated would be the theater of its military operations.
The Hebron Municipality decided to open a center previously used as a kindergarten as a temporary shelter in the "Ein Sara" area of Hebron city, while families also announced opening their private council halls to accommodate displaced persons.
The Israeli army expanded its raids into areas within Hebron city to include the "Sa'ir" and "Bait Ummar" districts, initiating house searches and arrests of Palestinians there.
The Israeli army arrested Nabil Al-Natsha, head of the Al-Natsha family council, and former member of the Hebron Municipal Council, lawyer Abdul Karim Farah, taking them for interrogation.
This came hours after the Israeli army announced the death of Staff Sergeant First Class Ron Yonatan Roitman and Sergeant Yuval Shai Suilam, with three others seriously and moderately wounded from Battalion (Ari 775), in the attack that occurred Friday morning at the "Yehuda" junction near Hebron.
The Israeli army had announced after the attack the imposition of a security cordon on Hebron and Halhul, establishing dozens of checkpoints in the area, declaring readiness for Israeli forces to expand offensive activity.
