Breakdown of vessel movements
According to preliminary data from ship-tracking firm Kepler, two liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers and one asphalt carrier exited the strait, while two empty tankers entered the waterway.
Data limitations and verification
These figures are subject to revision, as some vessels routinely deactivate their automatic identification system (AIS) transceivers during transit.
Six months after the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, maritime trade through the passage has declined by 85 percent.
