Four people were injured Sunday morning when a major fire broke out at an industrial unit producing lighters and lighter gas in the Nasirabad Industrial City, southwest of Tehran, Iranian emergency services confirmed.
A major fire erupted Sunday morning at an industrial unit in Nasirabad Industrial City, located in Robat Karim County southwest of Tehran Province, injuring four individuals, according to Iran’s Emergency Services.
Shorwin Tabrizi, spokesperson for Tehran Province’s Emergency Services, stated that the emergency call center received a report at 7:20 a.m. regarding the blaze at an industrial unit inside Nasirabad Industrial City in the Baharestan area.
Initial reports indicate the fire originated in a facility engaged in the production of lighters and lighter gas, Tabrizi said, describing the incident as large-scale.
Emergency medical teams were dispatched to the site, including one ambulance bus, two ambulances, and two field command vehicles, Tabrizi added. All four injured individuals received on-site first aid and were transferred to Fatemeh Zahra Hospital for treatment.
Nasirabad Industrial City lies along the old Tehran–Saveh road southwest of the capital and ranks among Tehran Province’s most prominent industrial centers. It hosts hundreds of production units operating across multiple sectors, including chemical, metal, food, and automotive parts manufacturing.
No details have been released regarding the extent of material damage or the cause of the fire.
