Four US Soldiers Removed from Pentagon Casualty List in Iran Conflict

The official website of the US Department of Defense, known as the Pentagon, which tracks war casualties, has removed the names of four soldiers who were recently killed in the conflict with Iran. This action has reduced the total number of military deaths reported in this war.

On Wednesday, the military website had reported a total of 18 fatalities. However, the Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS) currently lists the total number of deaths as 14 soldiers, according to monitoring by CNN.

The remains of the four most recent soldiers, representing the latest casualties in the conflict with Iran, were transported to Dover Air Force Base in an official and solemn ceremony on Wednesday. The event was attended by President Donald Trump and senior US administration officials.

Data from the system reviewed by the network shows a noticeable delay in updates. A Pentagon official had previously stated that documenting injuries in military systems may take several days or even weeks due to the necessary medical evaluation and review processes.

A Pentagon spokesperson commented, "The Department of Defense is aware of a temporary data glitch on the Defense Casualty Analysis System website and is currently addressing these technical issues in coordination with the armed forces branches."

The spokesperson added, "We are committed to ensuring the highest level of accuracy in reporting all casualty cases."
