IAEA Chief Warns Nuclear Site Attacks Are 'Playing with Fire' After Zaporizhzhia Drone Strike
The IAEA reported a drone strike on Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant's turbine building, with chief Rafael Grossi expressing serious concerns over attacks on nuclear sites.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) announced on Saturday that it received a report from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in southeastern Ukraine indicating that a drone struck the turbine building at the site, causing a hole in its wall.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi conveyed deep concern regarding the incident, stating that attacking nuclear facilities is akin to "playing with fire."
The agency further explained in a post on X that its team at the Russian-controlled power plant has requested permission to enter and inspect the damaged turbine building.
A Russian official reported that debris from Ukrainian drones hit the nuclear plant.
