Iranian media report activation of air defenses on Qeshm Island and downing of hostile drone amid US-Iran negotiation developments.

Iranian media have reported the activation of air defense systems on Qeshm Island. The exact reason for this activation has not yet been clarified.
According to Iranian news agencies, a hostile drone was shot down using a new air defense system.
On Sunday, US President Donald Trump stated that he is capable of reaching a "good and appropriate" agreement with Iran, emphasizing that he does not make "bad deals."
Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social, saying, "If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and appropriate deal, not like the Obama deal that gave Iran vast sums of money and a clear, open path to acquiring nuclear weapons."
He added, "Our deal is the exact opposite, but no one has seen it or knows its contents. The negotiations are not yet complete. So do not listen to the losers who criticize something they do not understand. Unlike my predecessors, who should have solved this problem years ago, I do not make bad deals!"
Earlier, US officials expressed optimism about signing an agreement with Iran within days, but they noted that negotiations remain ongoing and could collapse at any moment.
The anticipated agreement is expected to prevent escalation of war and ease pressure on global oil supplies. However, it remains unclear whether it will result in a permanent peace deal that also addresses US President Donald Trump's nuclear demands.
