Iranian media reported Monday that Tehran executed 3 men who participated in anti-government protests in the country in January.
Arrests and executions have increased in Iran, especially those related to last winter's protests, since the beginning of the American-Israeli war on Iran on February 28.
According to human rights organizations, including Amnesty International, Iran is the second most frequent executor of the death penalty after China.
Iranian authorities described the protests in the country as "foreign-backed riots".
