Iranian Diplomats Expelled from the US After Ignoring Departure Order
Two Iranian diplomats were expelled from the United States on Saturday after ignoring a departure order, according to a US official. This incident highlights ongoing tensions between the two nations.

A US official said that two members of the Iranian delegation to the UN General Assembly in New York were "expelled" from the country on Saturday, several days after being asked to leave, as reported by Axios.
The incident comes as the latest sign of tension between the two countries amid stalled diplomatic efforts to end the war and growing prospects for renewed fighting.
The US official explained that the Iranian diplomats did not comply with the US State Department's request to the Iranian mission to the UN on Monday for the entire Iranian delegation to leave the country immediately.
On Friday, the Iranian mission to the UN was informed that the United States was aware of the presence of the two diplomats in New York despite its demand for them to leave. Iran was again told that the diplomats must depart immediately.
The official said one Iranian diplomat left on Friday night, and the second on Saturday morning.
