The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy issued a warning on Saturday prohibiting ships from approaching the Strait of Hormuz. This announcement follows breaches of the memorandum of understanding with the United States and the continuation of Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon.

In an official statement, the navy declared, "Due to the crimes committed by the Zionist entity in Lebanon and its violation of the United States' commitments to the ceasefire, the Strait of Hormuz is closed to all ships."

The statement further emphasized, "We confirm the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and warn ships against approaching it, as doing so would endanger their security."

The first clause of the recently signed memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran calls for a cessation of military actions across all fronts, including the Lebanese-Israeli front.

Despite this agreement, Israeli forces have continued intensive attacks on various locations in eastern and southern Lebanon, resulting in dozens of casualties. In response, Hezbollah has launched rockets and drones, claiming to have inflicted losses on Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon.

Both sides have accused each other of violating the ceasefire, despite an announcement of an agreement intended to take effect at 4 p.m. on Friday.
