Israel Intensifies Demolition Operations and Ground Incursions in Gaza

In the early hours of Tuesday, the Israeli military intensified its demolition activities targeting buildings and residential blocks located east of the so-called "yellow line." This escalation coincided with a series of heavy gunfire operations aimed at the eastern borders of Gaza City.

A correspondent reporting from the Gaza Strip confirmed that Israeli forces carried out large-scale demolitions in the eastern areas of Khan Younis, situated in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. Massive explosions were heard throughout the region, where Israel maintains control over extensive sections.

Concurrently, Israeli military vehicles unleashed intense machine-gun fire toward the eastern outskirts of the Shuja'iyya and Tuffah neighborhoods in Gaza City. This was accompanied by a ground incursion, with armored vehicles advancing under heavy fire cover in these areas.

These military developments follow a day after Israeli air forces conducted a series of violent airstrikes across various parts of the Gaza Strip on Monday, focusing particularly on central and southern regions.

The air raids resulted in eight Palestinian fatalities and dozens of injuries of varying severity. Among the casualties, five were killed in two airstrikes targeting the al-Mawasi area, which is densely populated by thousands of displaced persons west of Khan Younis.

On the humanitarian digital front, statistics indicate a continuous rise in casualties. Since the last ceasefire agreement signed in October, the death toll from ongoing Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip has surpassed 1,050.
