Israeli Army Announces Killing of Senior Hamas Commander
The Israeli army and Shin Bet eliminated Adham Ibrahim Shaaban Nesman, head of operations for Hamas's Gaza City Brigade, involved in the October 7 attack and hostage-taking.

The Israeli army spokesperson, Ella Wa'awiya, announced on Tuesday that the Israeli army and the Shin Bet security service succeeded in assassinating Adham Ibrahim Shaaban Nesman, the head of operations for the Gaza City Brigade of Hamas, during the weekend (Saturday).
Wa'awiya stated that the Israeli army and Shin Bet eliminated Nesman, who had directed the Gaza City Brigade's raid into Israeli territory during the deadly massacre on October 7 and participated in holding a large number of hostages.
She added that throughout the war, Nesman was involved in detaining several Israeli hostages held by Hamas, including Romi Gonin, Emily Damari, Zev and Gali Berman, Eitan Moor, Matan Angrist, and Omri Miran.
According to the spokesperson, Nesman previously held several positions within Hamas, including intelligence officer in the Gaza City Brigade and commander of the Beach Battalion. He was responsible for planning and supervising operations targeting Israeli military forces and Israel itself.
Wa'awiya also mentioned that recently, Nesman attempted to train and qualify militants of the Gaza City Brigade and worked on promoting the production and distribution of weapons to the brigade’s battalions, aiming to rebuild the Hamas organization in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
She confirmed that the army forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area according to the agreement and will continue to act to eliminate any immediate threats.
