Israeli Attorney General Bars Ben Gvir from Using Prisoners and Election Campaign Facilities
The Israeli Attorney General has ordered the head of the Prison Service to prevent far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir from using prisoners or prison facilities in his election campaign videos, warning that such actions violate the law.

The Hebrew newspaper "Haaretz" reported that the Israeli Attorney General issued an order to the head of the so-called "Prison Service" preventing right-wing extremist National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir from using prisoners or prison facilities and their staff in promotional clips for his election campaign, warning that this constitutes a violation of the law.
This came hours after the "Central Elections Committee" issued an order to delete video clips published by Ben Gvir promoting the tightening of conditions for Palestinian prisoners.
Ben Gvir had previously posted on his account on the "X" platform a video clip containing scenes of his confrontation with two Palestinian prisoners whom he claimed were part of a cell attempting to assassinate him, waving the death penalty law and pledging to continue tightening prison conditions.
