Saar said in an interview with Israeli Channel 12 that Israel is committed to maintaining the status quo in Syria, adding: "We will not accept the establishment of Turkish bases in Syria." He explained that Israel has observed how Iran managed to "infiltrate" into Lebanon and Gaza, stressing, "We do not want the same situation to repeat itself with Turkey and Syria."
