Jordan Foils Attempt to Cross Border from the North

The Northern Military Region foiled an attempt by four individuals to cross one of the border interfaces, after border guards detected them while they were attempting to cross the border illegally.

The forces immediately responded according to established rules of engagement, successfully apprehending the infiltrators and preventing them from crossing the border, before transferring them to the competent authorities to complete legal procedures against them, according to Petra.

The Royal Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that border units continue carrying out their duties with vigilance and firmness, in line with their responsibility to protect the kingdom's borders and safeguard its sovereignty, and to confront any attempts at infiltration or illegal activities that could threaten the nation's security and stability.

The Jordanian Army added in a statement on its official website that border forces dealt with the infiltrator according to established rules of engagement, successfully apprehended him, and transferred him to the competent authorities to take necessary legal action.

The statement emphasized that "Border forces are continuing to carry out their duties with efficiency and determination to protect the kingdom's borders and safeguard its sovereignty, and to firmly confront all forms of infiltration and illegal activities; thereby enhancing the kingdom's security and stability, and preserving the safety of the nation and its citizens."
