Kremlin: Russia's Condition for Ukraine Conflict Resolution Is Achieving Its Goals

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov declared that Russia's primary condition for resolving the conflict in Ukraine is the achievement of Moscow's goals.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday, Peskov indicated that freezing the conflict in Ukraine is currently impossible due to Kyiv's stance.

He added, "The main condition for us is to achieve our objectives."

Peskov recalled that Russia's conditions were announced two years ago, noting that "everything could be halted even by the end of this day if the Kyiv regime made the necessary decisions."

This statement came in response to a proposal by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Omsk on Saturday, which suggested "freezing" the conflict with Ukraine.

Earlier, Russia had outlined its terms for ending the conflict, which include Ukraine's withdrawal from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk republics, as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Additionally, Ukraine must commit to not joining NATO or any other military alliances.
