Muqtada al-Sadr Orders Separation of Saraya al-Salam Within One Week
Muqtada al-Sadr has authorized the military wing of Saraya al-Salam to fully separate from the National Shiite Current within a week.

Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of the Sadrist Movement in Iraq, has issued authorization to complete the separation procedures of the military wing of Saraya al-Salam from the National Shiite Current within a maximum period of one week.
According to a statement published by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the special office in Najaf reported that "Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr has granted authorization to the director of the special office, Sayyid Haider al-Jabri, the military advisor Abu Du’aa al-Eisawi, the jihadi assistant Tahseen al-Humaidawi, and the official of al-Bunyan al-Marsous, Sheikh Muhammad al-Aboudi, to complete the separation procedures of the military wing of Saraya al-Salam from the current within a maximum period of one week."
The statement added, "The full handover is to take place on the Great Eid (Eid al-Ghadir al-Aghar), with the civilian wing completing its integration with al-Bunyan al-Marsous, coordinating with official authorities."
On Wednesday, Muqtada al-Sadr announced the complete detachment of the Saraya al-Salam faction from the National Shiite Current, aiming to integrate it into the state.
The statement further declared, "We announce the separation of Saraya al-Salam from the National Shiite Current and its affiliation with the state. Saraya al-Salam will join the state responsible for military formations, and the civilian entities of Saraya al-Salam will be without weapons or headquarters."
