Mysterious Explosion Hits Panama-Flagged Vessel in Iraqi Waters

Security sources reported on Monday that a massive foreign vessel experienced an unexpected explosion within Iraqi territorial waters close to the port of Umm Qasr.

The source told Alsumaria News that the large foreign ship named MSC SARISKY V, which sails under the Panamanian flag, encountered a sudden explosion near buoy number 5 after it had completed unloading its cargo at the Umm Qasr port.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, but the cause of the explosion and the extent of the resulting damage remain unknown.
