Netanyahu Rejects Chief of Staff's Recommendation to End Military Operations in Hebron
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected a recommendation from Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to end military operations in Hebron, despite claims that objectives were met and legal grounds for displacement were lacking.

The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected, during a situation assessment at the "Tel Nof" base, the recommendation of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to end military operations in Hebron, which he considered had achieved its goals.
According to the report, Zamir clarified that there was no longer any military justification for continuing the operation, nor any legal basis to prevent Palestinian families displaced from their homes from returning to them, but Netanyahu insisted on continuing it.
"Kan 11" quoted a military official as saying that forces searched approximately 500 buildings and found one rifle and one pistol, while participating soldiers complained about remaining in the field without actual tasks, noting that some had not returned home for 28 days. Home raids and population displacements focused on an area inhabited by the Ja'abari family, which the army claims is linked to Hamas.
