North Korea Rejects Quad's Call for Nuclear Disarmament, Affirms Retention of Arsenal
North Korea condemned the Quad ministers' joint statement urging complete denuclearization and reaffirmed its refusal to give up its nuclear weapons.

On Thursday, North Korea condemned the joint statement issued by the foreign ministers of the Quad group, which called for the complete denuclearization of Pyongyang. The country reiterated its stance that it will not relinquish its nuclear arsenal.
The foreign ministers of the United States, Australia, Japan, and India issued a statement on Tuesday following their meeting in New Delhi, reaffirming their commitment to the goal of the "complete" denuclearization of North Korea.
In response, North Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the Quad group for opposing "Pyongyang's exercise of sovereignty," describing their position as serving the unilateral dominance of the United States.
A spokesperson for North Korea's foreign ministry reiterated that there will be no nuclear disarmament from their side.
Furthermore, Pyongyang rejected what it termed the hostile stance of the Quad group, urging them to cease policies that "undermine peace and stability in the region."
