Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian doubts the feasibility of negotiating with the US amid ongoing sanctions and threats, accusing Washington of seeking to overthrow Iran.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian questioned the feasibility of negotiating with the United States in light of continuing sanctions and threats, accusing Washington of seeking to "overthrow Iran," according to statements reported by Tasnim Agency.
Pezeshkian stated that his country was attacked three times after holding talks, considering this, in his view, to reflect a lack of American desire for dialogue.
He added: "There is no point in negotiating with an enemy who practices assassinations, sanctions, pressures, and threats daily, and who habitually breaks its promises," affirming that the Iranian people reject this approach.
Regarding the nuclear file, Pezeshkian said that Iran has repeatedly proven the sincerity of its intentions and submitted to what he described as the broadest inspection operations conducted by the International Atomic Energy Agency, accusing the United States of continuing to pressure his country based on "false claims."
He noted that he announced, during his speech at the United Nations, Tehran's readiness for dialogue and verification of its nuclear activities.
At the same time, Pezeshkian linked visits by inspectors, the identification of nuclear facility locations, and scientists' identities, followed by their subsequent targeting. The reported statements did not include evidence supporting this link.
The Iranian President affirmed that his country will work to strengthen relations with its neighbors and "neutralize pressures," stressing the resilience of the Iranian people.
