Pezeshkian: We are working to bring Iran out of the "neither war nor peace" situation with dignity
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that his government is following Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei's directives to exit the "neither war nor peace" status while preserving Iran's dignity.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed that his government is following the directives of Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei regarding bringing the country out of the "neither war nor peace" situation, and is working to overcome these circumstances in a way that preserves Iran's dignity.
During a meeting on fuel and electricity crisis management, he said that the resilience of the Iranian people in the face of crises, pressures, and repercussions resulting from the war and American and Israeli measures has attracted the attention of other societies, contributing to changing the world's view of Iranians. He stressed the necessity of strengthening this resilience and maintaining the continuity of production and industry, according to his expression.
Pezeshkian added that securing the energy and fuel necessary for industrial and productive sectors represents the most important priority for the government in the current phase, confirming his readiness to personally participate in meetings monitoring the implementation of government plans and procedures daily if needed.
He emphasized the importance of the role of official media in raising citizens' awareness about the need to rationalize energy consumption during the upcoming winter season, and transforming consumption management into a general behavior and societal demand.
Pezeshkian pointed out that working to overcome the "neither war nor peace" situation should not prevent serious planning for managing and rationalizing fuel and energy consumption, calling for monitoring government programs, implementing them, and supervising their application seriously.
The Biggest Challenge
For his part, Iranian Minister of Energy Abbas Ali Abadi affirmed that the fundamental challenge facing the country's electricity industry is not related to technical aspects, but rather to significant financial and economic imbalances. He noted that the sector still requires structural reforms despite the measures taken over the past two years.
During the opening of the 26th edition of the Electricity Industry Exhibition, he said that knowledge-based companies, specialists, and Iranian cadres have managed to overcome technical obstacles, while economic challenges remain the main problem facing the sector.
Minister Ali Abadi pointed to an increase in electricity supplies to the petrochemical sector by more than 11%, and to the industrial sector by more than 3% compared to previous years, confirming that there are currently no restrictions on industrial consumption.
He called on industries to shift their shutdowns to the cold days of winter, to help stabilize the electricity grid and ensure heating provision for citizens, given the special conditions witnessed in winter and the attacks he said targeted infrastructure.
